Stockholm at Expo 2010 in Shanghai

Stockholm is taking part in the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Several stakeholders are working together to promote the region, particularly towards the Chinese market.

The campaign will take place during the Stockholm Days, at the Swedish Pavilion in June and October. Themes for June are the environment, innovation and education. The activities mainly include seminars and network meetings for invited guests, and press activities. The aim is to establish connections with Chinese decision makers.

- World Exhibitions are huge events where you compete with the whole world for attention, so you have to be smart in order to reach out. The theme of the entire World Expo is Better City, Better Life, and it suits us just fine, since Stockholm is named European Green Capital 2010, "said Sten Nordin (M), of Stockholm.

Participants are the Board of Education at the City of Stockholm, DSV / Stockholm University, Kista Science City, KTH, Swedish Environmental Research Institute, the City of Stockholm and the City of Uppsala. Stockholm Business Region is managing the project and the program is available at www.stockholmexpo2010.com.
